New Delhi, the capital of India, has an immense geographical potential to give a thrust to the infrastructural development in the city. With an objective to give a complete makeover to the public amenities and real estate sector in Delhi, the master plan 2021 is all set to put the following significant things in place within the scheduled timeline:

• The foremost objective of the Delhi Master Plan 2021 is to limit the total increasing population of New Delhi to 220 lakh by the end of 2021. It has been said that the population would cross 225 lakh by 2021 if it is not checked.
• Secondly, the master plan does also aim at ensuring the maximum utilization of land resources. There is a number of unused land in the city, which are owned by the government.
• According to the Delhi Master Plan 2021 notification, about 11% of the total populations in Delhi are going to get aged more than 60 years. It does also aim at ensuring friendlier public amenities for the old-aged people.
• A solid waste management system is on the priority list as the population is growing fast every year.
• There is also a provision in the action plan to encourage people to relocate to suburbs.
• There is also a plan to stop building central and PSUs offices in the national capital territory.
